Graceful ballerina

Turned in tiny circles by the rolling music
Rolling and rocking like a gentle tide
Tilting and swaying like a coin on a table top
So quick her movements create illusions
Her limbs so long and thin
So pliant and soft
They appear to be ribbons
Gently winding and gliding about the air
Shadows play beautiful games over her body in the dying light
The spotlight softening from harsh exposure
To a caressing curtain
Making the walls and ceiling about her dance in exquisite shapes
A constant flow of change
The gentle piano creating the sound of the rippling river her body creates around her
Her costume engulfing the warm light and spouting out over your face
Making the stars dance before your eyes
Finally her body stops moving
The little universe of motion around her ceases
Though her hands keep moving
Gentle wisps of smoke creating a spectacle of gentle ease
Finally all movement halts leaving a warm iron mold over you
Keeping you pleasantly warm, but perfectly still
